Galileo Satellite back-up system moves to Spain

Yet another blow to UK prestige. 7 years ago after a hard won fight the UK was selected to  host the the back-up security monitoring centre for Galileo, Europe’s version of GPS. The European Commission has taken the decision after a vote, to move the centre to Madrid. More details from the Independent newspaper
